Before settling in as editor of Today’s Catholic, Jodi Marlin was a reporter and editor at The Papers, Inc. for eight years, a reporter for The Elkhart Truth for 5 years and a freelance writer for various publications. She is fluent in Spanish, too, with her most recent studies of the language having led to a Master’s Certificate in Spanish Translation from the University of Texas in 2014. Previous to taking a position with the diocese, Jodi served at St. John the Evangelist school and parish in Goshen, where she was coordinator of Hispanic Ministry, Spanish teacher for grades K-5 and parish DRE. As editor of Today’s Catholic Jodi assigns stories to writers and photographers, conducts staff meetings, edits incoming copy, reviews wire services for national and world stories and communicates with readers, writers and lay and ecclesial ministers.
