1st talk – CHRIST IN THE CHAOS (Feb. 3rd)
Join us on Tuesday, February 3rd, as we kick off our winter series and hear from (TBD) on how we find Christ in the Chaos. Today, that chaos presents itself in many ways: social media keeping us constantly connected, artificial intelligence blurring truth and reality, technology offering alternative worlds to escape into, destructive wars, polarized politics we’re afraid to discuss, the challenges of modern dating, shifting social “norms,” biased media, violent protests, and complex personal and family struggles. Through this talk, (TBD will lead us on a journey to rediscover truth through humility and the wisdom of the Church—sources that anchor us in real and lasting hope. Because hope begins where Christ enters our mess. Hope is found in chaos. Hope Does Not Disappoint.

2nd talk – MEMENTO MORI (Feb. 10th)
Join us on Tuesday, February 10th as Fr. Daniel Koehl contemplates Memento Mori, an ancient Christian saying that translates to “remember that you must die.” Memento Mori means living with eternity in mind—not fearing death, but using the awareness of death to live more faithfully, humbly, and lovingly. Within the Catholic tradition, Memento Mori calls individuals to examine their lives with honesty, seek reconciliation and forgiveness, and release resentment in light of eternity. Far from being pessimistic, it offers profound hope—pointing beyond death to resurrection and reminding believers that every moment is an opportunity for grace.

3rd talk – THE CROSS TRIUMPHANT (Feb. 17th)
Join us on Tuesday, February 17th, as Parker Noll, nephew of Archbishop Noll, will speak on “The Cross Triumphant,” the third talk of the Winter Series, focusing on the hope revealed through Christ’s Crucifixion. Drawing from Scripture and the witness of the Saints, the talk reflects on how Christ carried the weight of all sin and entered fully into human suffering, showing that hope is not destroyed by the Cross but redeemed through it. Referencing John 15 and Matthew 25, “The Cross Triumphant” invites us to encounter the Crucifixion as the ultimate act of love and mercy, where suffering is transformed, and hope is made certain.

St. Felix Hosts Mass for the Sick
12:30pm-2:00pm
Mass for the Sick and Troubled is held the third Saturday of each month at St. Felix Catholic Center, 1280 Hitzfield Street, Huntington, IN 46750. The Rosary starts at 12:30 p.m. and Mass is at 1:00 p.m.
Blessed Father Solanus Casey holds special significance for St. Felix and the Fort Wayne-South Bend Diocese because he lived for a time at St. Felix Friary in Huntington, Indiana. During his years at St. Felix, Solanus became known for his humble service, deep compassion, and spiritual counsel, touching countless lives through his ministry at the friary door. His presence and witness at St. Felix have left a lasting spiritual legacy in the local Catholic community, inspiring ongoing devotion and encouraging the faithful to embody the virtues of humility, hospitality, and unity that he so beautifully modeled. His example continues to shape the spiritual identity of the Diocese and serves as a reminder of the transforming power of simple, faithful service.
Solanus Casey lived a life marked by simplicity, suffering, and quiet faithfulness. As a Capuchin Franciscan friar, he was ordained a simplex priest and assigned primarily as a porter, welcoming visitors at the monastery door. By the world’s standards, his role seemed insignificant. Yet God used that doorway to touch thousands of lives.
Father Solanus Casey instructed the other friars to provide food, famously saying, “They are hungry; get them some soup and sandwiches”.
Before the Mass for the Sick and Troubled, soup will be served, followed by Rosary at 12:30 p.m. and Mass at 1:00 p.m.

On February 21st before the Mass for the Sick and Troubled, soup will be served, followed by Rosary at 12:30 p.m. and Mass at 1:00 p.m.
