VINE Initiative
12:00am-12:00pm
Wabash
VINE means Volunteering to Intervene for the Neediest on Earth. The Neediest is key to VINE because the critical nature of their miseries determines the intervention of VINE Initiative. VINE initiative has a global outreach with concentration in African suburbs. Our current project is The Skills Acquisition Center. This project is designed to provide essential skills training to the community’s youth who are struggling and often left with limited options.
We are asking for help in raising the remaining $150,000.00 to complete this project. As an incentive to start off this fund drive, a group of donors have banded together to match up to $50,000.00 of contributions received between October 15 and December 31 of this year. If we meet this goal, it will provide the funds needed to complete a significant portion of the remaining work during Nigeria’s dry season that runs from November to March.

“Jesus is our hope. He gives direction and purpose to our lives. In our earthly lives, we experience uncertainties, disappointments, troubles, and anxieties that can lead to discouragement, pessimism, cynicism, and even despair of ever finding happiness and peace. That is why we need to be renewed in our hope. And that’s why the Holy Father made hope the theme of this Jubilee Year.” —Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades
