Walk to Remember for Perinatal and Infant Loss
10:00am-1:30pm
Huntertown
Cost: Free
Walk to Remember for Perinatal and Infant Loss will take place October 5, in Huntertown, Indiana. 2024 is the 11th Anniversary of the event, which is a leisure walk and community gathering. This FREE event is an opportunity for parents and family to come together, in the journey they walk, and know they aren’t alone in their grief.
The Walk offers something for everyone. Our highlighted activity is a one mile memorial walk around the park following a banner with your baby’s name on it. We will also have other stations with additional activities leading up to the walk itself, such as:
– Resource Tent: Filled with information on many area organizations that specialize in memorial items, support groups, and so much more.
– Chalk Art: A wonderful activity for the entire family to draw on a section of the 1-mile path to remember your baby.
– Family Craft: All supplies will be provided to create a keepsake craft to honor your angel baby.
– Family Photography: We have beautiful props and a professional photographer capture your family – a keepsake that can be added to the ways you continue to remember and honor your angel baby’s memory.
– Refreshments: We are always overwhelmed with our donation from Prairie Farms and other local companies who provide milk, juice, coffee, hot cocoa, snacks, and baked goods.
– Free Raffle Baskets: We have been working with area/national companies to create several lovely care baskets to raffle off to attendees. Something to bring a smile to your day, if just for a moment. There is no cost to participate, you will receive a ticket to enter to win whichever basket you would like. Check out Facebook in the days before the Walk to get a sneak peek of the baskets.
– Balloon Release: each family will receive a balloon following the memorial walk, which they can write a message to their angel baby, which will be released together.
A gentle reminder that absolutely everything we do at Walk to Remember is at no cost to you. Everything is FREE to participate in. We hope you’ll join us.

Memorial for the Unborn
2:00pm-12:00am
Fort Wayne
Right to Life of Northeast Indiana invites you to the Memorial for the Unborn on Sunday, October 6, at 2 p.m., at Catholic Cemetery, 3500 Lake Ave.
Last year 4,673 babies in Indiana lost their lives to abortion. This important event gives us a chance to honor the short lives of these children and pray for their mothers and all who are or have been affected by abortion. We encourage all side-walk counselors, 40 Days for Life participants, and anyone who has hoped and prayed for the end to abortion to come and give thanks to God with us for the miracle of life and for His grace, forgiveness and faithfulness.
The Memorial for the Unborn is about forgiveness and healing. It is also a sobering reminder of the work that lies before us. One life taken is one life too many.

RETURN Rosary and Presentation: How to Have Meaningful (Sometimes Difficult) Conversations with Your Adult Children
7:00pm-8:30pm
South Bend
Cost: free of charge
RETURN Rosary & Presentation: “Having Meaningful (Sometimes Difficult) Conversations with Your Adult Children” will be Tuesday, October 29, from 7-8:30 p.m. at St. Therese Little Flower – Parish Center, 54191 Ironwood Rd.
Do you wish that you could have productive discussions about the faith with your adult children? Every parent dreams of having wonderful relationships with their adult children, but when our children make choices that we believe are not in their best interest, how do we talk to them about these concerns?
This presentation provides practical advice based on the book Having Meaningful (Sometimes Difficult) Conversations with your Adult Sons and Daughters by Dr. Greg and Lisa Popcak, who are family counselors, bestselling authors, national speakers, and parents themselves. Whether you want to nurture already-loving relationships or repair damaged relationships, you can draw closer to and guide your children. Presented by Lisa Everett, Diocesan Director of Marriage & Family Ministry. The evening includes praying the Rosary prior to the presentation, and table discussion afterwards. The evening is free of charge and registration is requested but not required: www.ablazemission.org/return.
