Bottlecaps and Corks 2023
6:00pm-9:00pm
Elkhart
Cost: $45 for General Admission (presale); $55 on the day of the event; VIP tickets are $60 (presale only)
The Elkhart Homebrew Club is hosting Bottlecaps and Corks 2023 to benefit St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church missions and school. Bottlecaps and Corks is an exclusively amateur home brewer/vintner tasting event and competition that showcases our communities’ talented artisans.
This year our causes are the St. Thomas School, the Vine Initiative, and the Matamba Project, all St. Thomas missions.
For those who have never attended a prior event, imagine a chili cook-off, but with beer, wine, cider, and mead. Or, a beer festival, but exclusively amateurs. This year we have 18 entrants, 16 individuals and 2 homebrew clubs, with tables. The entrants have submitted over 50 beverages for judging. The categories makers can enter are beer, wine, cider, and mead. We have a group of excellent judges, who have spent their careers either commercially producing alcohol, writing about it, or selling and serving it professionally. We also have a people’s choice award, where people can vote for their favorite of each of the four.
