Noted peacemaker and author Jim Forest (a friend and collaborator with Thomas Merton, Dorothy Day and Daniel Berrigan) will speak about his recent book “The Root of War is Fear: Thomas Merton’s Advice to Peacemakers” and his forthcoming book “At Play in the Lions’ Den: A Biography and Memoir of Daniel Berrigan” on Monday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. at the Eck Visitors Center Auditorium at the University of Notre Dame.
