These monthly meetings are an opportunity for priests and parish staff members to connect with others across the diocese to discuss ways to support children and adults with disabilities in our faith communities. Some topics that have been discussed are:
• providing sacramental prep for children and adults with disabilities
• how to get accommodations like the LOOP and other accessibility needs
• helpful tools like DRE/Catechist Intake Form, suggested parish registration forms, accessibility checklists, and more.
Individuals other than parish staff and volunteers can attend as well to provide insight on what is helpful and needed. These meetings are offered at both 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. each month. You are always welcome to contact me anytime at 260-414-5960 or at [email protected].
