Fr. Daniel Groody CSC is the Director of the Center for Latino Spirituality and Culture and a professor of Theology at the University of Notre Dame. He holds a Master of Divinity and a Licentiate in Sacred Theology from the Jesuit School of Theology, and a Doctorate in Theology from the Graduate Theological Union. Drawing on years of work in Latin America, particularly along the U.S.–Mexico border, he is an author and the executive producer of various films and documentaries, including Strangers No Longer and the award-winning Dying to Live: A Migrant’s Journey. Fr. Groody has worked with the U.S. Congress, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, the World Council of Churches, and the Vatican on issues of theology, globalization, and immigration.
