This week’s issue covers the Notre Dame Evangelium Vitae Medal which was awarded to the Knights of Columbus. Supreme Knight Carl Anderson accepted the award. Archbishop Jose H. Gomez of Los Angeles will be one of the speakers at the University of Saint Francis sponsored Dorothy Day and the Church: Past, Present and Future,” conference from May 13-15. St. Vincent de Paul Parish held its annual Retreat for Persons with Disabilities. We have a followup piece on the St. Joseph-Hessen Cassel parishioner who organizes trips to help the poor in Kentucky.
