Msgr. Michael Heintz is Pastor and Rector of St. Matthew Cathedral in South Bend. He was ordained a diocesan priest in 1993 and went on to receive a Doctorate of Theology in patristics (study of the early Church) from the University of Notre Dame in 2008. In addition to teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses in theology, he also serves as the Director of the Master of Divinity Program at ND. Father Mike is a native of Elkhart and has enjoyed being an umpire for college, high school, and little league baseball.
