This week’s issue covers the Arise women’s conference held Oct. 2 at the University of Saint Francis. The Franciscan Sisters Minor were welcomed at St. John the Baptist Parish in Fort Wayne and the diocese on Oct. 2 by Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades. The Red Mass was held in Fort Wayne over the weekend. The brunch speakers was Theresa Farnan. A memorial cemetery service for aborted babies in Allen County was held Oct. 3, Respect Life Sunday, at the Catholic Cemetery. St. Michael Parish, Plymouth, celebrated its feast day with a Mass and celebration that commemorated the 100th anniversary of laying the cornerstone of the church.
