Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades baptized two babies at St. Matthew Cathedral in South Bend as he celebrated Mass for the feast of the Baptism of the Lord Jan. 13. Clergy from the Fort Wayne area, including 22 priests and Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades, are part of an ecumenical coalition called Shepherds United that supports life, traditional marriage and religious freedom. With the approaching 40th anniversary when the U.S. Supreme Court handed down the Roe v. Wade decision, the special section focuses on the faithful witnesses who stand up for the dignity and defense of life.
