South Bend
Cost: free
An interpreter for the deaf will be present on Sunday, September 17, at the 11 a.m. Mass at St. Matthew Cathedral, 1701 Miami St. An interpreter from Community Services All Deaf (CSAD) provides ASL (American Sign Language). St. Matthew Cathedral Parish and the Diocesan Deaf Ministry offer these monthly Masses on the second, third and fourth Sundays and are trying to find an interpreter to provide ASL on the first and occasional fifth Sundays of the month. Bishop Kevin Rhoades wishes to see a strong deaf Catholic community at St. Matthew. Please extend the invitation to family and friends who are deaf. If you would like to raise awareness for the Deaf Ministry and assist in its efforts to provide support for the deaf members of the Catholic community in our diocese, please contact Allison Sturm at [email protected] or at 260-414-5960.
