An interpreter for the deaf will be present at the 10am Mass celebrating the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God at St. Matthew Cathedral, 1701 Miami St. An interpreter from Community Services All Deaf (CSAD) provides ASL (American Sign Language). St. Matthew Cathedral Parish and the Diocesan Deaf Ministry partner to offer interpreters at special Masses in addition to the regularly scheduled monthly Masses on the 2nd and 4th Sundays at 11am. On Saturday, January 16th, the “Moving the Movement” Midwest tour is bringing the pro-life momentum to Fort Wayne with a drive-in rally, inspiring speakers, and diaper drive! Sponsored by the March for Life Chicago, and co-hosted by the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod and Right to Life of Northeast Indiana, this is a unique opportunity to support the culture of life right in our community! The rally will begin at 4 PM at Concordia Theological Seminary, 6600 N Clinton Street, at the parking lot near the soccer fields. Parking opens 1 hour prior to the rally. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the rally start to ensure all are parked. Ushers will greet your car, take any diaper donations, and direct you to a parking spot. St. Mary Mother of God parish in Fort Wayne will host a 10:30 a.m. Mass on Saturday, Jan. 23 for those wishing to pray for the defense of human life and an end to abortion.
Also on Jan. 23, join Bishop Rhoades at a Prayer Gathering – sponsored by Right to Life of Northeast Indiana. The Prayer Gathering is at Abundant Life Church at 3301 E Coliseum Blvd. starting at noon, doors open 11:30 a.m.
Instead of their traditional rally and march, Right to Life of Northeast Indiana is asking people to complete their marches individually, at home or in prominent places around your city.
All are welcome to attend. The main reflection speaker this year will be Mark, brother-in-law to late abortionist George (Ulrich) Klopfer, and the person that made the gruesome discovery of the remains of the 2,411 babies.
Participants will follow COVID-19 guidelines as recommended at the time of the event.
