Diocesan schools celebrate the saints

In celebration of All Saints Day, Nov. 1, St. Joseph School, Decatur, fourth graders dressed as their patron saints. The fourth graders research the lives of their patron saint, make posters (on display at school), and dress up. They attend Mass at the coliseum in Fort Wayne with other diocesan schools in the Fort Wayne area, and also attend Mass at St. Mary of the Assumption, Decatur, in costume and share information about their saint. St. Thomas the Apostle School in Elkhart fourth-grade students dressed as their favorite Saints at the all school Mass on Oct. 31 to celebrate All Saints Day. Father Jason Freiburger, pastor, is pictured in church with students after Mass.
