Women’s Care Center Dedicates New Mishawaka Location
Women’s Care Center dedicated its new Mishawaka location at 605 Lincolnway East with a special blessing by Bishop Rhoades on Tuesday, October 7.
The new center – painted pink, thanks to Mayor Dave Wood – marks a monumental milestone. “This is not just a building,” said Katherine Kelly, executive outreach director. “It’s the beginning of a legacy. Because of you, moms are supported, babies are saved, and families are transformed – all by God’s grace.”
Originally opened 35 years ago to ease the load of the South Bend center, Mishawaka quickly became a model for growth, inspiring replication across the country. Today, the Mishawaka center serves more than 1,300 women annually. The new facility was made possible through the generosity of many donors, the city of Mishawaka, and a lead gift from the Dibley family in honor of their parents, Mike and Jo Dibley — a tribute that will bless generations of families to come.
Since opening its doors, the new center has already seen a 20 percent increase in women served and a 30 percent increase in pregnancy tests – that very first step before a decision for life.

Bishop Rhoades blesses the new Mishawaka location of Women’s Care Center during a special ceremony to celebrate the building’s opening on Tuesday, October 7.
“Every other baby born in St. Joseph County now begins life at Women’s Care Center – a legacy made possible by this generous community,” shared Ann Manion, the organization’s volunteer president.
Founded in 1984, Women’s Care Center is the largest, most life-saving pregnancy center in the United States – uniquely Catholic, unconditionally loving, and proven in results. With 38 centers in 12 states, more than 43,000 women are served annually, with help from cradle to kindergarten.
