Priests Gather as Part of Diocesan Synod

Following the announcement by Bishop Rhoades last month of the first synod in the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend in 100 years, priests from throughout the diocese gathered with facilitators to learn more and discuss the synod at Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth on Wednesday, October 15. With the title “Spreading the Fire of God’s Love,” the five themes of the synod are evangelization, catechesis, spiritual and liturgical life, vocations, and outreach. The focus is vibrant, mission-oriented communities of faith, hope, and charity. The synod will conclude on the solemnity of Christ the King in 2026.
