The Sept. 8, 2013 issue of Today’s Catholic covers the Burmese-American Catholic national conference held last weekend in Fort Wayne. Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades discusses the New Evangelization and social justice at an ARISE gathering in August at the University of Saint Francis. The diocese will cosponsor a conference on Oct. 5 that will discuss the harms of pornography and offer hope and healing. Sister Deirdre Byrne, a sister of the Little Workers of the Sacred Heart, will be the guest speaker for a talk following the White Mass for professionals in the medical profession on Oct. 1.
