St. Vincent de Paul Parish to host Mardi Gras gathering

St. Vincent de Paul Parish will celebrate Mardi Gras on Tuesday, March 5, with a New Orleans style dinner and activities for children from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. The “cookoff challenge” between Father Andrew Budzinski and Father Jay Horning will be a 6 p.m., bonfire and prayer service with music by Choristers Choir will be at 7:30 p.m. — school door #9.
Menu includes: Gumbolaya Soup: $3 (w/andouille, mussels, shrimp and chicken); Muffuletta: $3.50 (layered w/cheeses, meats and olives – it’s an antipasto platter stuffed into a sandwich); ¼ pounder hot dog: $2; artesian hamburger: $5 (naturally Raised Premium Angus beef from Greeley, CO; hormone-free and source-verified the best beef we can get ); assorted chips: 50¢; king cake: $1 (rich brioche cinnamon roll topped with colorful sugar -watch out for the hidden baby Jesus); world’s greatest chocolate cake: $3 (drizzled chocolate icing cascaded over four indulgent layers of moist cake and fudgy frosting and accented with flaky dark chocolate shavings for the ultimate chocolate experience); Bananas Foster: $3 (dessert made from bananas and vanilla ice cream with a sauce made from butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, dark rum, and banana liqueur); bottled water / coke / diet coke / sprite: $1
