Organ concert planned for St. Charles Parish

Vincent Carr, Associate Professor of Organ at Indiana University, Bloomington Indiana will present an organ concert on Friday, April 16 at 7:30 p.m., at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd.
The approximately 75 minute program will include a variety of classical and contemporary organ music which everyone will enjoy. Mr. Carr holds degrees from Indiana University as well as Yale University, and has held music leadership positions at The Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Newark, New Jersey and, The Cathedral of the Incarnation in Garden City, New York. In 2020, he was elected as National Councillor for Education for The American Guild of Organists, a position that oversees all of the education initiatives of the organization’s 14,000 members.
There is no admission fee however, a free-will offering will be received. Every other pew will be blocked and facial coverings are advised. A socially distanced ice cream, “meet and greet” will be held following the program.
