Franciscan Fest and Portiuncola Indulgence Day will be Thursday, Aug. 2, at St. Charles Borromeo, 4916 Trier Rd., and includes an opportunity to gain a Plenary Indulgence by attending Mass and receiving the Eucharist; (Mass offered at 4 and 6:30 p.m.) going to confession (two priests hearing confessions throughout the event), and praying an Our Father, Hail Mary and the Apostles’ Creed in the church with the intention of gaining the indulgence. Fun and inspirational for the whole family. Includes concession stand, children’s games, music, religious goods and gifts, crafts and more. Admission free. Sponsored by Confraternity of Penitents.
