Fort Wayne City of Churches tour
6:00pm-10:00pm
Fort Wayne
Cost: Free
Referred to often as a “city of churches,” Fort Wayne boasts some amazing examples of religious architecture. Some of our best and brightest local architects designed houses of worship all across the city and they deserve our notice. Like many other historic buildings in Fort Wayne or other communities, historic churches face their own unique set of challenges. They are often large buildings that require a lot of maintenance and aging or shrinking congregations find it difficult to keep up with the building’s demands. The City of Churches Tour aims to showcase the great number and variety of churches by allowing visitors to experience these building’s unique beauty. By making people aware of theses buildings, there is hope that there will be a desire to preserve them for future generations.
