Updated 12-20: The originally-scheduled Christmas Day interpreter for the deaf has been rescheduled for Christmas Eve at 4 p.m.
An interpreter for the deaf will be present for the Christmas Eve Mass on Friday, December 24 at the 4 p.m. Mass at St. Matthew Cathedral, 1701 Miami St., South Bend, IN 46613. An interpreter from Community Services All Deaf (CSAD) provides ASL (American Sign Language). St. Matthew Cathedral Parish and the Diocesan Deaf Ministry partner to offer interpreters at special Feast Masses in addition to the regularly scheduled monthly Masses (on the second and fourth Sundays) and encourage people to extend the invitation to family and friends who are deaf.
