Noted peacemaker and author Jim Forest will give the keynote address at a prayer service marking St. Marcellus Day on Sunday, Oct. 29 at 3:30 p.m. at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at the University of Notre Dame. (A pilgrimage walk to the prayer by St. Marcellus’ relics will begin at 2:30 p.m. at Olivet AME Church, 719 N. Notre Dame Ave., and a light meal will be served there at the conclusion of the prayer service). A free-will offering will be collected at the event.
