After Mass, the basket of cards will be delivered to the Poor Clare Nuns at St. Andrew, who will remember the children and their families in prayer.

DeVille, who wrote the book “Everything Hidden Shall Be Revealed: Ridding the Church of Abuses of Sex and Power,” will speak at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20 in the Parkview Physicians Group Auditorium of Achatz Hall of Science and John and Toni Murray Research Center, 2701 Spring St. The free lecture is presented by the USF Department of Philosophy and Theology and the USF School of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
An associate professor of theology at USF, DeVille will focus on the recovery of such deeply traditional institutions as real parish councils with voice and vote, diocesan synods with voice and vote determining budgets and election, and accountability of priests and bishops. Other factors, including the psychological, will also be discussed.

Masses Interpreted for the deaf are held on the second and fourth Sundays of the month at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Cathedral, 1701 Miami St. An interpreter from Community Services All Deaf (CSAD) provides ASL (American Sign Language). St. Matthew Cathedral Parish and the Diocesan Deaf Ministry offer these monthly Masses and encourage people to extend the invitation to family and friends who are deaf.
