Diocese to celebrate Mass for priest-jubilarians

FORT WAYNE — Priests from all over the diocese will gather at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception to celebrate Mass on Thursday, Sept. 24, at 12:05 p.m. in honor of 20 priests, both diocesan and religious, who will be celebrating jubilee years.  

All are invited to attend this Mass. The exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will follow Mass from 1-4 p.m. 

Bishop John M. D’Arcy has designated this jubilee day, according to the guidelines of the Year for Priests, as a day that those who attend this service may receive a plenary indulgence under the usual conditions.  

The conditions are attending holy Mass; offering prayers to Christ, the eternal high priest, for the sanctification of priests and the conforming of priests to the heart of Christ; and the reception of the sacrament of penance.   

All are welcome at this Mass.
