Beauty: The Beautiful Body of Christ – Bryce Wiseman
Theology on Tap – Fort Wayne
2015 Spring Series: Beauty will Save the World
Bryce Wiseman was born and raised in rural northwest Ohio and graduated from Huntington College with BA degrees in philosophy and theology. The next chapter of his life was spent working with a Korean-based non-governmental organization, living in Pakistani-administered Kashmir, Haiti, and Timor-Leste, aiding in the development of conflict resolution curriculum materials, and training teachers and students living in post-traumatic situations.
Since returning to the Midwest and Fort Wayne, he has pursed graduate-level theological training at the University of Saint Francis. He is a proud resident of the city’s diverse near southside, and a member of and sacristan at the nearby Sacred Heart Parish. He fancies his thumb is green, knows he owns far too many vinyl records, and would always rather be riding his bike.
Bryce’s talk will explore the role played by beauty in the spiritual and social development of Dorothy Day and of her gifts to the Catholic Church and to us today.
