Janet Patterson

Janet describes herself as a writer, minister and educator. She thrives on projects that combine her background in lay ecclesial ministry with her years of experience as a journalist. She has worked for publications on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Delaware, in the Cleveland, Ohio, area as well as northeast Indiana. After earning a master’s degree in ministry from Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, Ohio, Janet served as pastoral associate at a parish in the Diocese of Cleveland. She moved to Indiana with her husband Tom, a native of Kendallville, to serve as director of campus ministry at the University of Saint Francis, Fort Wayne. She also taught in the Philosophy and Theology Department there, and was the coordinator for the annual Christmas at USF activities for 10 years. A transplanted city girl, Janet lives on a lovely lake in the heart of Amish country and is a parishioner at St. Joseph Parish in LaGrange.
