Denise Fedorow

Denise (Garza) Fedorow was raised in Yonkers, N.Y., and moved to the Midwest after graduating high school. She currently lives in New Paris, Indiana, and attends St. John the Evangelist Church in Goshen. Denise has been writing professionally since 2000 and was first published in School Library Journal, several Catholic periodicals and in children's magazines, including Scholastic. She began writing for The Goshen News in 2001 as a correspondent and columnist. She also began writing for Today's Catholic in 2001. She has two grown sons and daughters-in-law and five grandchildren, all who live out West. Denise said God opened the window for her professional writing career after a disabling accident caused her to prematurely retire. She considers it a blessing to be able to share the Catholic faith and others’ faith journeys through her writing.
