A Mother’s Hope Announces Expansion at Diamond Gala
A major announcement brought excitement to the growing number of attendees at the 8th Annual Diamond Gala for A Mother’s Hope in Fort Wayne, held on Thursday, September 18, at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum Conference Center.

A Mother’s Hope is the only shelter in Fort Wayne for pregnant homeless mothers, offering them not only a safe place to stay but also training, counseling, and countless opportunities to improve their lives. Shelter is provided throughout the pregnancy and up to one year after the baby is born so that training, support, and a safe environment are in place during that critical first year of a baby’s life.
Founder and executive director Stasia Roth and Bishop Rhoades spoke in support of the organization’s mission of accompanying pregnant women and their children.
This year, A Mother’s Hope has served 20 women, and 12 babies have been born – the highest number of babies in one year in the history of the organization. There have been 210 mothers and babies served and sheltered since the doors opened to the first resident in October of 2018.
At this 8th Annual Diamond Gala fundraiser, founder and executive director Stasia Roth was thrilled to share the news that the opening of a second home is in the works to fill another great need in our community: a home for homeless pregnant mothers who have other children. This new home will be set up specifically for this family dynamic with the same support, training, and counseling offered at the current home.
